"A year after its pilot was met with public approval via Amazon's voting process, The Tick is hitting the (streaming) airwaves at last. The latest incarnation of Ben Edlund‘s satirical superhero is (again) in live-action comedy form, with Peter Serafinowicz voicing the unique crime fighter.

At a time when it feels like we're close to having superhero fatigue, The Tick sets itself apart as an unique take on the genre, both embracing and making fun of the tropes we love about super-powered stories. In our exclusive clip below, The Tick attempts to help out a local business man who is being shaken down by a group of local thugs. Things don't go as expected, however…"

I had my doubts but everything I have seen about this show (including the pilot) are perfect. (other than the first suit – and even that is nothing considering how good the pilot was)

As if the Tick could be anything BUT a hilariously misguided superhero… that's his schtick. If anything it reveals the author's unfamiliarity with the subject matter.

Patrick Warburton will always be MY Tick, though, "I am the wild blue yonder…"

He was born to play the tick. Really a shame that show had such a pathetic budget.

Agreed on Mr. Warburton. However, according to wiki, the first live action outing of the big blue bug was nevertheless axed because it was too expensive to make for Fox's liking. As I recall the money didn't show on screen anyhow but maybe memory doesn't serve. Also, just going on my memory of that attempt, I hope this new one has a little more goofy super"hero" action in addition to funny dialogue.

Just binge watched the new 'Tick'on Amazon this weekend. It's much more grim and violent than the original yet still manages to be funny. It's very faithful to the it's predecessors but with a richer story line. The new Tick is a near clone of Warburton. Yep, I liked it.

Can I cash the check now?
