Crossing points through the Caucuses Mountains, if left unguarded, were an open invitation to any of the nomadic tribes occupying the northern regions.

This was an interesting historical match providing some tactical problems.

Glad you like them.

I have found some surprisingly resilient armies while doing this on a project basis.

Some armies resurfaced as enemies of the Umayyad and Abbasid armies, such as the Alani and Nobades and these were collected as enemies of 3rd c. Rome.

Following the Abbasid matches I will make an evaluation if there should be new armies added to this project. I have given some thought to the Tang Chinese and Bagratid Armenian.
