I have just spent a couple of frustrating days trying to post on the forum. I could not do so because I had to be a verified member. However checking my membership it showed me as a verified member. My next option appeared to be to contact the forum moderator. However when I tried to do so there was no email or other contact. I left it for a day to see if it would sort itself out. It did not. I had noticed that it was possible to restore membership, but it did not appear that I had lost my membership. Eventually I did indeed restore membership, and that did solve the problem. I imagine that I am not the only one this has happened to. Would it be possible to include something in the FAQ, under the heading of Verified Member. If the answer is indeed to restore memberhip it would help if it confirmed this under the current Verified Member FAQ. |

tb2… For the last few years, whenever I do renew…it's on a Sunday night AND I send Dear Editor both a text and Email informing him as such and that there should be no weekend lag, because it is showing up in his mailbox on Monday. I'm usually confirmed w/in two days. You, have had rather poor luck it seems. My condolences! |

AP The problem was that I could not find an email or contact link for the editor. I was directed to his page, but there was no link. Since I have restored my membership there is now a link on his page. Presumably this is only available to verified members? I am also confused that I was unable to post because I was not a verified member. Yet when I checked my own members page I was shown as being verified. I had not received any notification that my membership needed renewing. Perhaps what has happened to me is unusual? In either case it would be helpful to have clear guidance what to do. If the solution is to renew membership it would be useful if it said this in the FAQ. |

Same happened to me a couple of days ago, not for the 1st time. I took it that I had been logged out somehow, so just clicked to restore membership and typed in my user name and password. Didn't see this as a major problem, but then I used to do this every day whilst working to access computer systems. Only time I had a real issue with this was last year when I was dog housed following Brexit. Same message came up and it took me a while to find out why I couldn't log back in, and then to figure out why I had been dog housed at all. |

This can happen when cookies are deleted, by whatever cause. I have also had it happen when updates deleted certain files on my 'puter – why they did, I have no idea. But as Vigilant says, all you need to do is re-enter username and PW and all should be well. |

As simple as going to the bottom of the page to contact Bill. |
