Robin Hood men in Tights version – after all, unlike some other Robin Hoods he had an English accent.

If looking for serious then Errol Flynn, though dated the movies from that period probably best reflect the myth while other shows since then took it way too seriously.

Errol Flynn version is the best, Men in Tights works it's way in there AND…coming from a completelu different angle Tangent…Disney's Tangled!

The classic British TV series starring Richard Greene, followed by movies "Robin and Marian" and the 1991 version mentioned above.

Mid 80s British series Robin of Sherwood, Michael Praed (excellent) then Jason Connery (not so good)

I like the Men In Tights version, the rest take it far too seriously.

legatushedlius20 Aug 2017 2:59 p.m. PST

Errol Flynn of course, with Korngold's Oscar winning music.

dwight shrute20 Aug 2017 3:35 p.m. PST

Robin of Sherwood : Michael Praed as Robin with Ray Winstone as Will scarlet … went all wrong with Jason Connery .

I like how "Robin of Sherwood" played with the mythos.
I also like the "feel" of Robin and Marian.

What, no love for the one with Kevin Costner, or whateverthehell that thing Ridley Scott made? grin

Disney's funny animal version!

Mollinary21 Aug 2017 3:27 a.m. PST

Robin and Marian was my faviourite version on film. The mid seventies was a good time for Connery, with this film and The Man Who Would be King being among his very best works imho.

joeltks has it right. The others are basically cartoons with live actors.

Michael Praed,Errol Flynn,Men in Tights-never saw the Richard Green one.

And Daffy Duck! (Gotta talk to Errol.)

Toaster21 Aug 2017 1:42 p.m. PST

Robin of Sherwood and for a funny take try "When things were Rotten" a 70's British spoof TV series.

1939's with Errol Flynn

rmaker22 Aug 2017 11:45 a.m. PST

Errol Flynn. Though the Douglas Fairbanks (Sr.) silent has its charms as well, as does The Story of Robin Hood and His Merry Men (1952) with Richard Todd.

mandt222 Aug 2017 8:45 p.m. PST

Errol Flynn
Patrick Bergen

Phrodon23 Aug 2017 11:43 a.m. PST

Robin of Sherwood. Very gritty and dark. I also enjoyed The Adventures of Robin Hood (Richard Greene) when I was young.
