Hey guys I've been reading the new set of Sci-Fi RPG rules from Paizo, Starfinder, so I figured that I'd write up a review.

See it here:

Plan doing another play-by-post eventually? This would truly be a GM &players learning as they go game!

I bought the core rulebook and the first module too (also was lucky to pick up the free quickstart/module on Free RPG Day).

Agree with the "daunting" comment based on the sheer number of pages, but think it will ultimately be a pretty good reference.

I really like the chapter devoted to fantasy PCs from the Pathfinder world. Also looking forward to the NPC/creature catalog coming out in Oct.

Hey Mardaddy. I could do but I think it'll take a while to get my head around the rules and we'd have to see what the rest of the players would prefer.

The hardest part in running that game is knowing how to run the characters. In a new system, especially one as intricate as Starfinder, that might be a bit hard initially.

Maybe in a couple of months.

Hi Redroom. I gave it another good read last night. So many choices. Still I'm starting to get more familiar with it. I think the trick might be to just start with some simple scenarios and see how they play out and then branch into space ship combat, car chases etc.

I'm loving the character creation aspect of it though. I think it's going to be a lot of fun and my face to face group are sounding pretty keen to kick of a campaign using the new Adventure Path that Paizo have put out.
