Had to leave Long Island due to lack of Empire players. (The ridiculous cost of living may have played a small role). Now living in Spartanburg and still building my armies, but haven't had an opportunity to play for years now.

I don't know if these folks play Empire, but they
are gamers and they do play Miniatures of all sorts.

They are Greenville/Spartanburg area centric

Welcome to the area! I am not an Empire player, but I live down the road in Greenville. You can get an idea of what I play on my blog, most recently 6mm AWI, 3mm Modern, and 28mm Darkest Africa / Pulp.

Check out the Yahoo group, and there is a fairly regular group that plays at Borderlands in Greenville. I do not go often at all, but hopefully Robbie will chime in and give you the run down.

I live in Charlotte and cut my teeth on Empire. I like Buck Surdu's Battle for Empire better, but I'd be willing to slap together an army. You do 28mm or 18mm?

Great to hear from someone; Charlotte is close enough.
I have 15/18mm. I have almost exclusively French and French allies (Italian, Wuerttemburgers, Westphalians, a brigade of Poles, a few from Kleve-Berg, etc). A bit short on cavalry, especially heavies.
I do have some Austrian grenadiers, a Prussian regiment and a couple of British battalions, but that's about it. I have some Spanish grenadiers and as yet unpainted Portuguese, too.
