Anyone have any thoughts on this figure being used as a Spanish Garrochista lancer for the Peninsula War in Napoleonic Spain? |

Honestly no idea but, if it helps, here is a pic of him. The skirts of the coat in front are wrong for Napoleonic era so some filing needed, I suspect. OK the Prussians did have their Litewka, but general jackets were waist length in front with skirts behind. I do recall someone very similar in the latest releases from BrigadeGames Miniatures in US….Spanish Guerilla cavalry. Bottom of the page; link

I believe the heavy side-button over-pants (the inspiration for chaps) are a strictly Mexican thing. I think these figures scream Mexicans. |

Now that is clever. You mean that this is not just showing a pair of overalls buttoned down the side (no reference needed for us) You mean guys who drive cattle and wear leather overalls (literally, not just lined on the inside)…chaps, where the front overlies the back of the leg….and is tough raw leather. Wish we could now cross post. But….das ist verboten! |
