Anyone currently make any small scale ships for Space 1889 both airships and historical naval vessels for the period.

Stone Mountain may still have the metal airships available. Historical naval minis could be from a few sources, do you want the same scale as the airships?

Sadly they appear to be all OOP. A company called GameTech bought the line from Houston's, and then went out of business. You can search eBay for ships, might find some. Great game, wish I'd kept everything.

Aeronefs not what you want then?

The old GDW game Sky Galleons of Mars had quite a few poorly sculpted miniatures which I have seen turned into rather nice ether flyers without much work. The game is regularly available on ebay. Here are some of the miniatures as they come from the box.

IIRC they are about 1 to 1.5 inches long.

There are card stock versions of the air ships available in 1/600.

If you can Facebook, look up Black Smoke, Blue Water. They're doing 1/1000 and 1/1200 Victorian vessels, real and imaginary, nautical and aerial.

I think Stone Mountain sold the last of their stock of the Space 1889 ships a few years ago. Game Tech's ships were of their own design and had nothing to do with the Houston's castings. Their stuff was quite nice, and unfortunately long gone. Working with the plastic miniatures from the Sky Galleons game isn't a bad idea. They aren't great minis, but do follow the game. We're talking about adding masts. They come with sails for kites. They have scale issues, but you can work around that.

I'm working on something but its still early days. This is about 9 cm long. The plan is to make them scale with 1/300 models

Actually, we still have most of the numbers available. PM or email for listing.

I've bought from Dave, and given how confused a lad I am, HIGH props for how easy he's to work with!

However, for playing Space 1889, instead of Sky Galleons, I'd like to point out Crossover's Omura Martian Skyship. link

Very near screw kite, though I've yet to finish mine, images shame me for not doing so.

Do look at the rest of the airships in the line, and I'd also mention Jimbibbly of Oshiro, Ironclad, and Tobsen77.
