First off, no this isn't one of those overly dramatic departures (I think those are silly).
It's just that I have an unmistakable premonition of impending doom. It is difficult to even type it, as such actions will no doubt seal and guarantee my speedy departure from the realm.
You see, I finished my last miniature painting project yesterday and have none on the horizon…..
Doom.
Doom
DOOM!

Ye gads man! Quick, order some figures!

Vigilant15 Aug 2017 8:52 a.m. PST

There must be an unpainted figure lurking somewhere, if not order something, anything, before its too late.

OH NO!!!!!!

Apply chap stick to lips hourly till miniature shipment arrives.Offer to paint a neighbors white picket fence… thinking ahead for 1:1 scale gaming project in mind.

Find nearby fellow TMP to drop emergency miniature package on doorstep.

Wait a minute, that figure in the rear rank of the 135th Guard militia battalion has his paint chipped. You'll need to fix that now while waiting for more figures to arrive.

As long as you're at it you may as well fix the boots on the whole unit. They were never that light a shade of brown and you know it.

FABET0115 Aug 2017 9:34 a.m. PST

All your Austrians are in the wrong shade of white. You'll have to repaint them and your not leaving until it's done.

Private Matter15 Aug 2017 9:35 a.m. PST

Quick, everyone send Korvessa a single unpainted figure for him to paint!

Timbo W15 Aug 2017 9:47 a.m. PST

I have a whole load of figs that Korvesa is welcome to paint, as long as they're sent back for free :-)

Pass by the FLGS on your way back from work and impulse buy.

foxweasel15 Aug 2017 10:35 a.m. PST

Are you sure that you didn't dream it? I've heard some tall tales, but finished the lead pile?!

Beowulf Fezian15 Aug 2017 10:48 a.m. PST

Good work, man!

Robert Burke15 Aug 2017 11:17 a.m. PST

You're courting an early death. Everyone knows that a wargamer can't die as long as he had unpainted figures waiting to be painted!

I figure I'm good for another 500 years at least.

whitphoto15 Aug 2017 11:21 a.m. PST

ITS A TRAP!

Dynaman878915 Aug 2017 12:14 p.m. PST

Is that legal?

Bashytubits15 Aug 2017 1:03 p.m. PST

Are you insane? No true gamer has completely painted all his miniatures. Get thee to a store and buy something NOW.

Titchmonster15 Aug 2017 1:18 p.m. PST

God's Speed

Elenderil15 Aug 2017 1:34 p.m. PST

It's sad when a gamers mind finally goes! No unpainted figures left, yeah right, as if! You must have missed one and simply forgotten it.

14Bore15 Aug 2017 2:03 p.m. PST

Anyone have any figures that need painting ? Send to Korvessa

Kropotkin30315 Aug 2017 2:07 p.m. PST

I say rebase the whole lot of them. That will sort this nonsence out.

Korvessa15 Aug 2017 3:18 p.m. PST

To be honest, I do have a bunch of odds and ends (left over command staff I'll never use) – but they will never see paint
(does that make me immortal?)
But Kropotkin has the best idea,
a few years back I received my older brother's collection
(GW figs from late 70s early 80's and some Ral Partha historicals) – they need some serious re-basing.
A life saved by TMP!

I'm glad this story had a happy ending. I was starting to put together my care package of unpainted figures.

StarCruiser15 Aug 2017 8:54 p.m. PST

All I was going to say is…Is that even possible?!?

Tiberius15 Aug 2017 11:27 p.m. PST

Wargames do jot die until the last miniature or model is painted.

Go buy some more

PVT64116 Aug 2017 4:57 a.m. PST

Finished last figure? Fake News.

Yes, even if I ever finished all my figs, which most likely won't happen unless I live to 100 or more. huh? I'd still be keen to see if anything new, etc., comes out. That may interest me, etc., …

Of course there's the rumor I've heard here and elsewhere that you can't die if you still have minis to paint. So I'm hoping to test that "theory" …
