I've got a great love of older-fashioned pulp style SF. Minifigs (owned by Caliver Books) have a small range of retro SF figures called Wayne's World of Wonder (http://www.miniaturefigurines.co.uk/Catalogue.aspx…) so when I saw some of them at Claymore I had to get them. Here are RSF-01 Retro Space Pilot in uniform and RSF-02 Retro Space Pilot in spacesuit.
It's very obvious that these figures are meant to be the 50s version of that great pulp SF character Dan Dare and that's how I've painted them. Now I need to do the Crooked Dice Otherworldly Invader, who is a very nice sculpt of Dan Dare's arch nemesis, the Mekon.
