PS. Experts recommend that you avoid the brains and spinal tissues, of course, unless you want to risk contracting Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD).

Never forget "Feast of Freedom."

"What was it like, eating the Vice President?"

"Not bad. The fish was better."

I knew a WWII vet who hid from the Japs in 1941-42 among cannibals. They referred to "dinner" as "long pig", he & his friends didn't understand the reference then. They had dinner that night, eating one of their comrades in arms. Later the natives "sold" the soldiers to the Japs. He spent the rest of the war in a POW camp weighing 65 pounds when liberated. He never ate rice again & understandable hated Japanese. I know this is a bit off topic, sorry but the thread title brought back those memories of him.

BTW he said it tasted "sweet" I never asked for an elaboration.

Y'all are all starting to worry me.

My favorite recipe is to take 2 lbs, put in a crockpot with apple cider vinegar, a pack of instant onion soup mix, 1/4 cup of dark brown sugar….

….What????
This isn't for pork recipes?????

Cacique Caribe15 Aug 2017 7:30 a.m. PST

Winston,

Hmm. Crockpot, you say? Just make sure you don't let it dry out. Keep it covered.

In the ground, wrapped in plantain leaves, works really well too. Salt and pepper is all you need there. Only a few choice cuts are suitable for the open flame.
