I recently acquired a box set with several sprues of these infantry. They look pretty good to me (although now I understand what people mean when they say that PSC is heading toward "heroic" 15mm with the bulkier sculpts). However I'm a bit puzzled by the uniforms. They appear to all be wearing the zeltbahn. I feel like it is unlikely an entire platoon would be found wearing these at the same time, so are they just meant to be mixed in with other sculpts? Or did I get it wrong and I'm actually just looking at SS camo smocks? Anybody else bought these figures? |

I'm curious why don't you think a entire platoon wouldn't be wearing the zeltbahn? They all would have one and it was common for troops to wear them in Normandy. jdg |

I'm by no means an expert on this subject but its literally every single figure (excepting the senior officers). I thought that wearing your tent like a poncho was just a little hack that some soldiers tried out, but if it was in fact really common, then I have no problem with it. |

If it was bad weather, or it was the only camouflage garment available it would be worn by everyone. A lot of people forget that the platoon sergeant would just tell the troops what to wear. |

Actually the zeltbahn was designed with the slit so that it could be worn as a rain poncho and for camo. FYI the US Army shelter half as also had a slit in it for use as a poncho. jdg |

Not all are wearing the Zeltbahn! I'm sure you can mix them up with the Late war set for more variety if you prefer. |

Perfectly normal to have whole units in Zeltbahn. Keeps you nice and dry (ish). |

jdg is correct as aways. the Korean memorial in Washington is a very visual example. |
