So, Old Glory25s/Blue Moon have released their Boxer range in 15 mm and they have that $500 USD special on the five legation sets. I realize to some of you that is out of reach for legitimate reasons. But I find the deal extraordinary. I set up the five legations again this afternoon so the wife could see them and I took a count of how many resin pieces are in the set.

The 46 main pieces of the set (there are two 'rough ground' pieces that came with mine that I think may have been 'add ins', not sure) works out to $10.37 USD per piece US. There are very few 'simple' pieces in the mix and many complex pieces, some highly complex, that if bought separately would probably cost 20$, $25 USD, even $30 USD unpainted. The 'simple pieces' would be two roofs and one wall in the British legation and one porch roof in the US legation. I did not include in my calculation the metal gates for the Russian legation (3 pieces) or the porch supports for the US legation (10 pieces).

Each has to judge for themselves but I think that pricing is truly remarkable. I'm glad I jumped early and bought in.

Oh, my other building, the large Chinese house with courtyard includes some really fancy metal porch pieces that I'd love to find out can be bought separately because they'd be useful for lots and lots of projects.

I linked to this in an earlier thread but for those who missed it, here is a link to my blog where I have some photos of the five legations set up:

Blue Moon and Old Glory 25s continue to stun me with their great ranges.

I have another order to place for more figures and more buildings from this range, maybe two orders. Will have to let the budget recover a bit first, however.

I bought a set at Historicon and it is absolutely gorgeous! For $500 USD it's quite a deal! A must buy for anyone playing 15/18mm Boxer Rebeliion!

That does look awesome! Two things have stopped me (so far), shipping to Canada and a serious lack of storage space to properly look after them.

Early Morning Writer,

The 'rough ground' pieces are to depict garden areas. There is one in the Russian Legation and one in the Japanese Legation. I hope that helps.

Thanks, Teresa, I didn't remember which boxes they came out of. Now I know. That means 48 pieces and 10.42 each (my number above was a typo, should have been 10.87 a piece I think. Still a great deal.
