Alrhough slightly on the small side, the former Kennington Miniatures 10mm models are available from SHQ. |

Minifigs has a 12mm one. That's what I use mixed in with my 10m figs. |

Curious about their potential for ancient sampans, I looked them up. Here is the Minifigs one, which has curious-looking deckhouses:
link I haven't yet found a picture of the SHQ one, but did find the PDF catalogue that mentions it, on p. 28: link link |

Flashpoint has nice ones. At 15mm a little large but for a sampan think it would work fine. Pics in my last battle post link Joe |

Thanks chaps, I'll have a look at flashpoint, might be good for larger boats for 10mm. I have sent an enquiry to SHQ to see whether they have any pictures, if not I'll see if they carry this range to shows and have a look at the next one. Regards Daniel |

Here is a photo of my SHQ models, alongside some Pendraken 10mm NVA
My understanding is that the old Kennington range was 1/200 scale, hence the rather smaller size. However, for riverine models, I find them acceptable as the smaller models do lend themselves to a degree of perspective by seeming to be further in the distance. Hope this helps. Alan |
