Gorgeous painting. I have an original windproof in my wardrobe, it's a lovely camouflage pattern.

They look great.
Do you also do the sculpting?

LeonAdler12 Aug 2017 6:10 a.m. PST

I'm afraid I do everything from the sculpting to taking the completed orders to the post office lol The design bench is the fun bit :) everything else is necessary but tedious.

Thanks for those Leon – I never knew Brits got cammo (I mostly do Eastern front). They look good – now I need to find a painting guide

Marc at work,
Its basically the same pattern as denison and camo pixie suit,
colours seem to vary ( different makers or different preservation?) I'll put some notes up on the website when they released. I think the neat Farnworth guides cover the Brit Paras which will work nicely. Tony Barton releasing some in WP soon as well so he will have some useful giudance around Im sure.

Leon
I will very happily make you a guide. I can even use your pictures so that it is ready with your product launch.

Leon, when Tony Barton was making a 1/6 windproof for his glorious action figures I took him my windproof and he took loads of photos. So hopefully he will release a painting guide as well, he did for the 1/6 version. Though as you say, there was a lot of variation in colour between manufacturers and fading. The pattern is noticeably different to the Denison one though.

foxweasel13 Aug 2017 6:05 a.m. PST

Sorry to hijack your post, I've just took a few photos to put on here. It's a bit sunny though and looks more faded than it is, on second thoughts it's probably only vastly different to Denison if you're a cammo spotter geek like me.

LeonAdler13 Aug 2017 6:18 a.m. PST

foxweasel,
Ta for that very useful :) Yes its tricky from different angles and with different kit it can look quite a different patterrn from the denison and then at other times you can see its very similar. Think the difference in cut of the two items makes a difference as well. Same basic colours though. Yours has definite 'streaks' in the pic Ive seen two with no streaks at all. Maybe different makes of cloth maybe just different batches/cuts.. Frankly when all the kit is on as long as the basic colours are right it looks fine in miniature. 1/6 th scale a little less forgiving!

In 44/45? I don't think so.

Marc at work14 Aug 2017 1:55 p.m. PST

Interesting website but looks like it died in 2010. Did I misunderstand?

foxweasel14 Aug 2017 1:57 p.m. PST

It was just the link to Tony Barton's British windproof research.
