I'm looking with interest at the new Draculas America rules, but I am wondering whether rather than get more 28mm figures, I should look at going down a scale to 20mm.

It's a lot cheaper for a start, but the metal figures still have some weight. How well do the Newline metal figures scale with the ranges of 1/72 scale plastics ?

Are there any ranges of matching 20mm/1/72 Fantasy out there ?

TIA

Caesar Fantasy Figures
set 103 – Undead. You get two Vampires, male and female.
I don´t know if Zombies are part of the Dracula America Scenario but RedBox makes them

Cultists ?

werewolves? (The saddles Need removing)

and they all fit alongside Newline metal figs.

This is set in 1875 – so if you want Vampire cowboys ans US army, well, they'd look like cowboys / ACW infantry with a pale flesh paint job (and mad staring red eyes, perhaps)!

More zombie like elements ? Do a little surgery on the plastic figures – arms bent out of shape, maybe a few bullet holes (hot needle will do those) in the clothes.

This is very do-able in 20mm.

As Pauls Bods remarks, there are two vamps included in the Caesar skeletons set, and also Elhiem and CP Models both make 20MM/1/72 vampires. Both metal manufacturers are a near-perfect fit for Caesar Miniatures plastics.
