But, just wait until you hear the bizarre reason given:

"Washington has expelled two Cuban diplomats after US embassy staff in Havana suffered mysterious physical symptoms, the US state department said.
… some staff had suffered hearing loss."
"staff began complaining of the strange symptoms late last year."

So, has Raul Castro and his goons come up with a new weaponized form of the flu or something else*? A sonic device? Or were the US staffmembers simply unaccustomed to all the garlic in the cuisine, and the black beans and plantains? Or maybe they were unaccustomed to the loud volume we from the Antilles tend to use when we get way too excited and speak? Some of us antillanos have been known to reach ultrasonic voice levels.

If it's really some dangerous substance, then I hope Raul Castro himself catches some of what he has concocted.

* Like some chemical or nerve agent acquired from his longtime North Korean buddies, perhaps, for "testing" in the field? After all, Lil Kim just murdered his brother recently in Malaysia using a nerve agent.

Why would the Cubans want to do something like this? They have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Might not be the Cubans. The Norks have a significant
presence in Havana, and elsewhere in Cuba…

If this has been going on since last year, clearly the Cubans have had a chance to make it stop. The way any rational country in the world would see this is that the host country is either unable or unwilling to make the "attack"" stop.

Someone is playing everyone else's hand here. It's either the North Koreans OR someone who wants it to look like it's the North Koreans. The fact that the US government isn't rushing to point a finger at them tells me they might suspect a lot more is going on than meets the eye.

I've read about the acoustic attacks on U.S. Embassy personnel elsewhere, but have yet to read any real information about the attacks. Like so much news today, the stories always leave the reader wanting to know more.

If Cuba wants to torpedo its relationship with the U.S., then this is the way to do it.

Thanks for letting us know about the North Koreans and the Cubans joining together in ideological solidarity. This is an aspect of international communism of which I was not aware, but which is not surprising.
