No. Many enemy vehicles/guns were used until they could not get any more parts or ammunition. It was not unusual to re-chamber some captured guns. The Germans re-chambered many Russian 76.2mm guns to 75mm to use German ammunition though interestingly enough the guns kept their 76.2mm designation (for example 76.2 PaK 36 (r)).
