Just bought Tobruk by Battlegroup and they have a list for LRDG. The squadron has a 15cwt patrol command car as opposed to the usually 30cwt car. Apart from the weight what is the difference because i'm a bit worried on having bought Britanias LRDG vehicles a few years ago and then having to buy for example SHQs 15cwt patrol car and it being completely the wrong dimentions to ft in with the other trucks. |

the lrdg used various trucks for the desert raids, the main one was the 30cwt 4x2 ex indian ammo trucks with the rounded cab top, which was then removed, they also had some 30 cwt cmp 4x4 trucks but they found these too heavy for desert use, they also had some 15 cwt trucks which would have been a pre ww2 pick up type truck based on a large car chassis. this seems a good site for info:- link |
