"The Spoils of War' was intense, and almost everything that happens sets in motion events that could impact the rest of the season. Game of Thrones was a slow burn for most of ‘The Spoils of War', but ended in a blaze of glory. As exciting as the last 15 minutes of the episode were, there was plenty to unpack from the preceding 45 minutes. Let's just take this across the map so we make sure not to miss any of the key details in tonight's episode. Dragonstone We didn't spend a whole lot of time here, but every moment counted. The biggest takeaway was Jon's continued efforts to educate Daenerys on the threat of the White Walkers. He shows her cave paintings of the Children of the Forest, furthering the idea that the White Walker threat is real and it's going to have to be dealt with. Of course, that is almost instantly canceled out by Tyrion bringing word of the failure at Casterly Rock. Dany, in her rage, wishes to storm King's Landing with her dragons and thus ignites a conversation that is central to her future development…" Main page link What a battle!… remember me the Zulu attack in Isandlwana but on horses… (smile)
The Dothraki cavaly are a very serious thing! Questions:
a) "Not only did you seem to see her big heart" said Sir Davos to John Snow… "No time for that" he answer… So… the sexual tension between Khaleesi and John Snow is a fact??… a marital aliance in the near future? b) Did John Snow Kneel???… this is the most important question in this chapter… they left the cave as they have done some kind of agreement… c) Why John remains in Dragonstone wainting for Khaleesi??… he is in charge now?… d) How many microseconds of life are left to Littlefinger? e) Varis is a traitor?. f) I don't buy that Jaime is dead… do you? c) Lannister Army is out… what have Cercei now under her commnand…? Only the Pirate Fleet?… d) Good Bronn… he deserves a castle! (smile). John…??

Jaw-dropping battle scenes for sure! The episode was excellent; I was also wondering if Jon Snow bent the knee to Dany in the cave, she certainly seemed to seek his advice regarding battle tactics almost immediately afterwards. Was terrified the whole battle that Drogon was going to buy it after seeing Bronn man the ballista. Tyrion still torn as he wants the Lannisters to lose but not see Jaime die while doing it. |

Jaime and bron are both prisoners of the dothraki . The tension between Jon and Dani will continue , Jon will eventually bend the knee but not yet , Jon and Dani fornicate on a ship on a journey somewhere North . Littlefinger does something really bad and ends up as a cross on Arya's list after to being sentenced to death , give that a couple of weeks .. . I suspect next week is the commando raid on the army of the dead , which doesn't go to plan . |

So just where were her other two Dragons? Because they were not at that battle. Did love the look on Jaime's face when he was talking to Bronn. You know, the look right after he told Bronn that they can hold them and Dani and her Dragon flew in. |

If Jaime is prisioner… did his little brother save him allowing to scape as his older did previously?… What a situation for Tyron…!. (smile) I think the other two dragons are in reserve… And why John still remain in Dragonstone?… it seems always is ok with Dany… Were are you John???…. (smile) Amicalement Armand

Jon stayed at Dragonstone so that he could help mine more Dragonglass. |

We don't have any idea if Jaime or Bronn are prisoners, unless you have been watching pirated episodes on line. I refuse to. Last time "we" saw them was when Bronn knocked Jaime literally out of the line of fire. Then they were both last seen sinking into the Blackwater. As for why Jon is remaining on Dragonstone, as mentioned above, he's mining dragonglass. Note how his mining uniform is exactly the same as his fighting and hot date uniform. Besides, he hasn't been properly introduced to the dragon he is destined to ride yet. Tyrion will have the other. He may need it, Rhaegal I presume, named after his real Dad, to get to Eastwatch in time for the latest massive battle. Tyrion will be stuck with Vyserion. Rhaegal and Vyserion were not at the battle because of the cgi expense. Dany can only ride one at a time. In the first book (is it in the show?) Tyrion says cryptically, "I know the dreams you dream, bastard." We know Tyrion dreamt of riding dragons, and I believe Jon did too. This is a very early clue that… Well, form your own theory. |

Did you see the smirks Dany and Missandei were exchanging? "He's cute, your Grace, and I think he likes you." Ser Davos the Grammarian: "She's hot, and I think she likes you." Ah. High School days. Will they go to the Prom, those crazy kids? Will they, ahem, say goodby when Jon goes off to fight his war? I see Jon Stark being King in the North, first of his name, married to the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, Danaerys Targaryean, first of her name. Technicalities, technicalities. Sam will be there with The Book of Precedents of Archmeister Qwertyuiop, "Well, I read it in a book." When it is learned that Jon Snow is really Jahaerys Targaryean, Dany's nephew, then things will get interesting. It will turn out she's fertile after all and that mean witch Mirri Maz Duur just lied to be a bitch. |

Quite frankly I found the Dothraki cavalry totally unbelievable. Dumbest cliche in movies is the Rider leaping from his horse to wrassle on the ground. Standing on your saddle to shoot? Crashing into a wall of pavises? Ok. Ok. It's a fantasy. |

Thank you very much for your comments John … so good as always … I don't think Bronn and Jaime would be prisioners… Bronn save him and both run… But… if Jaime became prisioner of Dany… Tyron moral obligation (and feelings) are to allow him to scape… also Bronn his old friend and companion of adventures… Can wait to Sunday… (smile)
