Great stuff! I know very little about French uniforms but always thought the light infantry had pointed cuffs? Have I got this wrong? |

Cheers and yes not wrong, but according to Perry instructions some also had the same cut as the line, but with blue rather than red cuffs. |

I previously had looked this up from every source I could find….and found both cuff styles! But then, equally, I once pronounced here, with great authority, that no Light Infantry regt would have had drummers. Shot down in flames. Canopy hood stuck, no parachute anyway…..Zero on my tail….yakatakataka…. I confused Light Companies of a Line unit with the members of a Light Infantry Regt…….Rousellot shows both cuffs for Kosher Light Infantry Regt. Some did, it seems…..funny business this uniformology. By definition, you would think that "uniform" meant….etc…. |

I think the pointed cuffs came in with the Bardin uniforms. |
