At least the construction crew didn't cut an underground power cable as the crew on the North Carolina offshore islands did last week.

Had this happen three weeks ago and knocked out almost all of ATT service for Western Indiana when the fiber cable was cut. ATT was saying they were going to send a dispatch crew truck to look for it.
I told them, "Well if you say it's between Brownsburg and Danville, that would be on 267, so just drive that road until you see either a road crew with a back hoe, or a ditch digger, or some farmer with a large excavator and you'll have found your culprit.

In this case a construction crew had actually knocked down two poles.and snapped the lines. Naturally they didn't tell anyone….
