Apologies, since I was not sure where to post this. Does anyone know if the FOW Pacific Marine Rifle Platoon, US772
is still in production or has it gone by the wayside.

I ordered that item along with several others from a reputable, service oriented online and brick and mortar vendor back in May. That item is still showing backordered and many of the other Pacific items simply out of stock.

Unable to attend Historicon, but had a fellow gamer look for them and neither FOW or their contracted vendor had the item either. Can anyone give me an idea of what is going on with that line or what to expect time wise. I know their big push now is Team Yankee . I really don't want to look at alternative lines since the figures are already organized by platoons.

thanks for any help or informatiion you guys have.

Sam

We have one blister in stock at Battlefield Hobbies. It is what is left of our initial order for Pacific which really failed to take off in the UK.

As to if more are available at BF I don't really know.

thank you, James.
Not news that I wanted to hear. Figured here in the States, it would have been more popular. Still a short window to decide on maintaining the supply chain of a product.

thanks again,

From what I understand, BF/FoW makes single large production runs of stuff and then stores them (which is honestly not particularly efficient).

So when Pacific basically failed to take off, everything got bumped down in the production plan.

Same thing happened with some of their Vietnam stuff, and with Great War. It does eventually get back into production, but it takes a long time.

It may not get back into production, BF has a new business model now that appears to be splash release with 'cards' to keep getting new players, supporting a range does not appear to be part of the model
