I've been seeing a lot of Kingdom Death figures posted here lately (mostly by Armand in the Nude section) and they seem to generate quite a few comments.

Most of what I've seen I've absolutely LOVED. But I've never really looked into the game and what it's all about.

So a bit of Googl-Fu, and I found this – IMHO – very in-depth and thoughtful interview at Frontline Gamer with Adam Poots, the Creator of Kingdom Death.

There's a fair bit in the interview about the sexualization of many of the female sculpts, and some of the design reasoning behind them.

The comments are also VERY interesting, and go into further depth on the above-mentioned.

It's quite a long read, and there's also a video (but I didn't have time to watch that yet).

Fair warning: there's no nudity, but some artwork and a couple of scantily clad resin minis are on the page.

Which you can find here if you're so inclined :-)

Meh- don't buy it.

I think he's just one of those afficianado's who likes to see horrible things done to pretty girls. But then that's the staple of "horror" these days.

I buy it.

I am with him when he says how amazed he is that violence and gore is acceptable but nudity isn't. America can have strange values to an outsider sometimes
