I had to look up what a "Jumbo" Sherman was: link Great that the museum has such a significant and historic armored vehicle in its holdings now. Jim |

Looking forward to that museum opening. That is a good tale of crews and a machine. Back in the day I played microarmor with Tractics. My little Shermans took it on the chin from my friends German cats until the day a platoon of GHQ Jumbos took the field. Still needed a bigger gun, but it was suddenly a lot more balanced. |

Cobra King was parked out in front of the 1st Brigade HQ, 1st Armored Division, Ferris Barracks, Erlangen FRG for years. When Ferris Barracks closed, it was moved to Vilseck, part of the Grafenwoehr Training Area. It was subsequently "discovered" there. |
