recently painted up a couple units of Byzantines one from
crusader the other from gripping beast and decided i would do some comparison pics for those interested

I hate to say it, because mine are Gripping Beast but, the Crusader Byzantine castings look better.

Lovely!

I like Crusader figures. Although well sculpted, the heads on Ebob horses are up so high its often hard to mount the rider without major surgery.

Did you find this to be the case with your beautiful figures?

I never had to do surgery on mine but yes the riders do hug the mane.

Great painting! I specially like the set on the right where the one guy is about to give a face slash to the fellow blowing the horn in his ear.
