An expected package arrived from John Bryant today, who is just amazing. My favorite mini painter of all time.
These are all Perry or Foundry bodies with KMM heads and various plastic and metal arms. I did all the conversion work
The horses are my own Ebob horses, that Bob converted for me.
I think that they look much better than what was previously available. Sleeker and faster! Ready to ride into battle!!

Here's a group shot of my new additions to my mounted Second Spartans, who fought on horseback at Cowpens. At this point, I can field close to a "one for one" ratio, as far as mounted figures go.

Group shot of all the Militia conversions.

Close ups.
Muskets and rifles. Ready to dismount and fire!

Charge!!! More close ups.

Two shots of the SC Light Horse Mounted Militia.
I liked the color combination here. Came from a CMH plate. I think that will bring this unit up to full 12 man strength. May as well fill it out.

NY Royal Dragoons.
I liked the color combo here, also. Something different from the norm. These too will be augmented and brought up to troop strength.

There was more in the box, but that's enough, for now.

I am absolutely fixated on mounted conversions at this time. Very much enjoying myself and looking forward to terraining them all. I'll probably start that tomorrow.

They look great.

Outstanding conversation of figures. Where are the houses from?

nevinsrip04 Aug 2017 3:27 a.m. PST

I think the house was a JR hollow cast. It may be from the ACW line.
I stuck a plank to hold up the porch just to give it a little different look. I have a couple of these that I painted different colors and added small details, too. Good for a variety of periods.
