From the trailer for episode 4. SPOILER DISCUSSION AHEAD Enough with the pinpoint raids. Next Sunday we will see some dragon action against Lannister armies. I hope. |

Title reminds me of Conan the Destroyer: "Enough talk!" And *kerthunk* goes the thrown knife. I haven't watched a single scene of GoT. Carry on………… |

I dunno- I'm scared. This may be a hat-trick for Cersei. The Westeros Targaryn Regime 2.0 has gotten off to a bad start by The Dragon Queen acting like a complete @#*# to poor Jon. She had an audience of like, EIGHT people. Why the big show? Maybe host some meaningful private discussions, and save the "We are not amused" crap for the press statement. I'm guessing she changes her tune after news from Highgarden and Castlry Rock get back to her. The Queen of Thorns went out well- but Rigg always stole the show. Guess she was right about trusting wise men, after all. If somebody can heist that sacked Tyrell loot headed for King's Landing, things may turn around for the good guys. And Daenerys. |

She still has the Dothraki card to play but her hand is getting progressively weaker, that's for sure. Should have gone for King's Landing from the get-go. |

She should have had Tyrion design some "creative" pictograph leaflets and dragon-dropped them on King's Landing. Get the commonfolk to join her, stroll into town. When the chips are down, who does Cersei really have besides her brother? |

Now that they have gone "off book" the producers feel safe in ignoring the realities of medieval siege warfare and naval engagements (its hard to intercept a fleet at sea). Likewise a castle like High Garden with any defenders (let alone the whole Tyrell affinity) could hold out for months. So Tirion is giving good advise (he had a plan to sneak into Casterly Rock) but is being done in by plot devices. TomT |

I wonder what naval architect designed Euron's ship? |

He ripped it off from Man-O-War, with an illegal number of upgrade cards. |

So Sam's punishment is to rewrite all of those old scrolls and books. Which means that he will get to read them. Wanna bet that one of them will hold important information that can be used against the Night Walkers. |

It has been strange…. Cersei's side seem to know all of their enemies plans and Euron's teleporting fleet is somehow able to ambush one fleet at night at sea (knowing that they are going to head north again presumably), head back to king's landing to show off and then sail right around Westeros to attack the second fleet as the Unsullied are successfully storming Casterly Rock. Which is now worthless, despite the area around it being presumably the Lannister's prime recruitment area for loyal troops. Add the Tyrell's apparently having had their entire army disappear over night (it was apparently going to besiege King's Landing with the Dornish army) just as the Lannisters need to loot it for the cash to pay back the bank and this season is starting to feel less well thought out to me. I expected there to be reverses and things would go wrong, this is GoT after all but it seems…..contrived, to spin out the Cersei situation for another season rather than a believable story. |

I wonder if they are just showing that the Targaryan line is Inbred, Incompetant and Insane? Without her dragons, what is she? |

The problem with that is that it isn't her plan, she was convinced to go with a more long term plan to bottle up Cersei in King's Landing and destroy the Lannister army and holdings. The plan was pretty sound, King's Landing can barely feed its population in peacetime never mind in a siege. The problem is Cersei apparently knows this is the plan as well (never mind Euron's magic teleporting fleet) and has removed the Westeros allies from the board. In a way this should be liberating for the Targaryens since now she just has to fall back on the basic tactics that let her carve out an empire abroad without trying to play politics…..see city, take city, crush opposition. |

When Aegon AND his sisters came in, on their three dragons, they had little regard for such minor concerns as collateral damage. Dany had overwhelming strength on her side. Now, not so much. The odds are now roughly what Aegon had, with dragons. Cry "Havoc!" and let slip the hot dragon action. |

Euron's teleporting fleet There is nothing teleporting. When are individuals going to learn that not everything that is happening in a episode is happening at the same time. There can be days and weeks between events. |

What is important between the to castle fights is that the dead from High Garden just wasn't that much. But at Castle Rock the Lannister's lost far more. The Unsullied will now just burn the Castle and move on. The Lannister's need to leave forces behind to keep what they took. |
