I stumbled on this on YouTube last night. It's a very early Dubliners song, but without Luke Kelly. The singer is a guy I never heard of, Bobby Lynch. There is a Luke Kelly version, which is heretically, inferior. Luke sings it like a dirge, while Bobby sings about getting legs blown off in a more … fun way. YouTube link |
