Our fifth book in the Great War Spearhead II series, All Fine Men, is now up and for sale. It encompasses actions at Stalluponen, Gumbinnen and Tannenberg in August of 1914. We also included a hypothetical scenario called Timmapse where there is an encounter between Danish and German forces. You can find them at Lulu.com. |

I have been prodded a couple of times about what the scenarios are. Here is the scenario list from ALL FINE MEN! BATTLE OF STALLUPÖNEN: PILLKALLEN DEGESEN PÖTSCHLAUKEN BATTLE OF GUMBINNEN: MALLWISCHKEN BRAKUPONEN BAITSCHEN SODINEHLEN BUDSEDSZEN GAWAITEN BATTLE OF TANNENBERG: DEFENCE BY UNGER'S FORCE SKOTTAU USDAU TAUERSEE ROTHFLIESS RAMSAU And finally the hypothetical battle of Danes against the Germans in August 1914: TIMMASPE Hope this helps! There is quite a mixture. Pillkallen is a fictional cavalry vs cavalry scenario, as if the German cavalry had stood firm on the left flank of Stallupönen. Degesen and Pötschlauken feature the two flanks of the German defence north and east of Stallupönen. For Gumbinnen, there are the northern (Mallwischken) and southern (Gawaiten) actions, along with a mixture of actions in-between. These include engagement battles and the Russians occupying light entrenchments. Tannenberg is also a mix. Generally, the Russians were on the defensive but there is one scenario (Defence of Unger's Force) which has the Germans defending, plus some encounter battles. Several scenarios are designed for the tables to be joined up if several people want to participate. Robert |
