"…continue with my Star Wars – Podrace project. After having thoroughly tested the rules in a test game (at this point thanks to Vasa and Markus), I will now take care of the race track. In addition to a rock landscape, buildings and moving obstacles are to be created. The circuit is supposed to be a kind of round trip to the highlights of the planet Tatooine…." Using translator.

I actually designed these rules…. so my mind is humbly blown at seeing this awesome project! It is great to see someone try this out. The use of multiple X-Wing templates is a simple mechanic to allow for fast paced movement. Great use of magnets (I will borrow this idea) too. Thanks for sharing…. now I just need to read a translation! |

Is this the most recent? link DB, is there a reason for not allowing multiple of the same template, other than making it work with what most have? andy |

Thanks everyone. Yes that looks like the version I submitted to BGG. Limiting the templates is partly so people with only one set can use them and lay them all out to form the path. But it is also a way to make it more challenging as you need to pre-select the templates before you lay them. You can then lay them in any desired order. There are ways to adjust the templates by using the "swerve" maneuver as well as "boosting". There are still elements of the rules I would like to change to simplify things and if people have suggestions then feel free to ask. |
