Back in January, I wrote about a new flyer that I commissioned from RedVectors. I asked for a ship, essentially the same as their small Martian Flyer, but with a deck 1.5 the length and width. I wound up buying two of them, and the first one is finished: I've labelled it as Barsoom, but it's equally as good for SPACE 1889. gisby.wordpress.com |

Nice! Reminds me of a Star War's skiff. |

Very nice skiff Gisby. Nice to know that companies like Red Vector can do these commissions. Could you tell me what size/scale Bronze Age Miniatues are as their website is down at the moment? I'm into 25/28mm stuff so any other manufacturers out there? |

The stuff I got from Bronze Age was 'big 28mm' to me. YMMV. Apparently, from what Geo sez, you're more likely to do business with Red Vector if you have an interesting commission rather than 'I'll have some of that… ' Personally, several reasonably priced copies of those would 'butter my bread.' John, have you seen the old Salute Space 1889 battles? Jabba's skiffs have done AMAZING Barsoomian service already. I've a couple of POTA partials I want to fly 'backwards.' Has a nice tear/raindrop shape. Haven't figured out the upper decking, alas. Doug |

The Bronze Age are indeed large 28's, they fit in well with Tin Man Miniatures. (But Tin Man's Green Martians are much smaller) Mick at Red Vector is more than happy to sell stuff he has already planned, I just think he's less interested in setting up a web store. But he's VERY willing to take a wild-ass idea and run with it. Prices and service are good, drop him a line. |

Greetings :) Geo is pretty close to the truth. I get more FUN out of new commissions and challenges but the orders for goodies already in the portfolio pays for the wine. I dont want to compete with Sarissa et al with their bulk manufacturing facilities, thats one of the benefits of being semi-retired. So if you like what you see, or want something a little special drop me a line. |

My name is Gisby, for some reason TMP has never let me use the name. A geo is a car of some sort! And Redvectors? AAAAA+ would buy again |

A geo is a car of some sort! *blush* All my fault! I thought Gisby was a locale, Geo is also occasionally short for George, and I 'assumed.' We ALL know where THAT leads… Of course, if you had done your blog as 'gisbygeo', we might think 'Gisby World.' REDvectors: On the 'cusp' of full retirement, so getting told I need to watch cash, however, I'd be delighted to help support your vintners. ;->= Will you ship to the colonies? Gisby: Would it infringe on your 'intellectual property' to ask for one of the larger models? Doug |

Yes, I'm in Canada, so the postage for two being as cheap as one probably works for the USA too! Yes Doug, buy many of them! The more he sells, the better my idea was! |

Some of you good people have been asking why there are no pictures of the above flyers on my web site …. Well its because I only update it periodically but prompted by recent requests ….. link |

I just went ahead an inquired about a 18mm height version of the 8" long skiff. A pair of those would look very nice, I think. Have to figure out a way to fit a lateen rig mast to it, though. |
