I present the USS Monitor. A 28mm, 3D Printed Ironclad. Not my scale but I thought it would be fun to print and assemble; and indeed it was. However it will accompany me to Recruits in August for the silent auction there. More info at my blog: link

Hard to tell the footprint -- is that about two feet long? |

VERY cool model. But I'm confused – - – My quick calculations say that a 28mm (1/56th scale) model of the 171-foot-long Monitor should be about 36". Probably I'm misunderstanding something. |

Pretty darned close to 15mm, however. |

Each hull section took about 4 hours. About 2 for the turret and 1 for the smokestack. Everything before "but" is bullcrap, as the saying goes. The file stated 28mm. Looks it to me, perhaps more along the lines of 25mn or 1/72? |
