I am thinking of getting back to DBA since playing a couple of games at a St. Louis,MO game day this past weekend. I would like to go 15mm in line with current area gamers and Arthurian army (with opponent) and after that, Roman 2nd century army and opponent. What are good suggestions for 15's especially Arthurian (late Roman?)? If they can be purchased in the US, all the easier. Thanks for you input. |

Essex has pre-made DBA armies and I quite like the figures. I don't know who is handling them in the US now. |

For Arthurian armies, look into Baude Miniatures. |

Splintered Light Miniatures has a very nice Sub-Roman British army perfect for Arthur, and is available in a DBA 3.0 army pack. link They also have several complimentary dark age armies to compliment the range. |

For Arthurian Britons and Saxons (as well as Irish and Picts), Splintered Light in the USA is your best bet. Stunning figures, and great service. |

Thank you, all, for the suggestions. Many good things to decide between. |

All great suggestions… Noble Knight Games handles Essex now in the US… but Baueda and Splintered Light are awesome as well. Joe Collins |

Bob Rossi at C&B Minis – cbminis.com – carries the Essex line, and I would recommend his business. I had special-ordered some Essex 25's, asking him to get them from England and I'd pick them up at Historicon. He couldn't get to the convention, so he sent them to me, priority mail, at postage cost which must have ate up any profit he made on that deal. Urge you to check out his website, at least. |

Any interest in Sub-Roman Orcs? Really, Arthur, King and Warlord of the Orcs. The Deep History of Flintloque. |

Thanks to All for the great recommendations. (Panfilov, I will stick with human Arthurian armies but thank you for letting me know of the variation.) Thank you, dragon6, for the link to the Old Glory figs. I was unable to find them without your link. Splintered Light figs look good but I need to explore the Old Glory figs first. Baueda does not seem to have Arthurian yet, tho the figs are nice. I may get tents from them for camps. After I settle on the Arthurians, I need to decide an opposition force, maybe Saxons with Picts allied. I understand this did occur. Gives the Saxons some cavalry. Thanks again, everyone. If anyone has any ideas, I am open until I spend my money. |
