I've added a short AAR on the Weird War AWI game we ran at Historicon, along with some other pictures from the convention: link |

I better catch up. All I have is a bank of Leyden jars and Goth earings. |

The word Awesome is probably over used, but it certainly applies to your game. You are very creative with respect to the concept, the rules, terrain and figures. Well done, sir, well done. Jim PS, how did you make the airships? That's something that I have wanted to do for a long time. |

…the Weird War AWI… Funny, I immediately heard a shrunken head say 'Clench your… it's going to be a bumpy ride…' ;->= Just scrolled through, but already I'm declaring a corker! I'll have a careful look later. Thanks so much! Doug |

Thanks, all! Regarding the airships, the balloon itself is a downloadable paper model of the Montgolfier balloon from Fiddler's Green. The gondola is a plastic kit of a Leonardo Da Vinci paddle boat by Academy. About the only thing I did was drill a hole in the hull for a dowel rod to go through it, popped the balloon on top, then glued the dowel rod to an old CD. Simple to build and only about $10 USD-12 total |

About the only thing I did was drill a hole in the hull… How was that? I got the impression from the one I had that that plastic would be a bear to penetrate. Very jealous on all the 'armored cars'; those sold out early, locally. Great AAR! I was scanning the photos, got to the 'char d'escargot' and asked myself, 'He can't be giving that to the French! Too humorous!' ;->= Only thing missing was an attack on a British ship by a 'Turtle', but wrong time of day, and de Grasse needed no assistance. C'est magnifique! Doug |
