A couple weeks ago we rolled out 40K's newest rules to play its oldest scenario – the Battle at the Farm – using our collections of classic Rogue Trader models.

The game was super-fun and we posted a battle report on our blog, hope you'll drop by and check it out!

My husband has over 300(yes.300+) RT era Metal marines, and at least 100 RTB01 marines, and they remain bare metal and plastic, save a handful with "test paint".

Why? Who knows…I keep telling him, "John, if you hate the game(he does'nt even really like RT. He just likes space marines. Beakie space marines. RT era beakie space marines. Quirkie, RT era beakie space marines. He has about 20 reasons why he has held onto those marines like grim death since the late 1980's)why not sell the marines? They are(were?)EBAY gold!

Nope. He keeps saying, "GW will get 40K right, one of these editions…

I am working on it. Like I said, he has, gotta be near 400 metal marines. And he can tell you "this marines was named so and so, and this was the very first tech marine…and this guy…"

Talk about the "Way Back Machine." grin

Couldnt get enough of the Marines (Plastic, armored, sci-fi soldiers)!
Ironically, the "Beaks", were the only thing I didnt care for. I 'clipped' the 'beaks' flat, painted that blk too look more part of the breathing gear.
Never got any of the early run of the Dreads.. just waay too much lead for me.

My only give in on the lead, were the Eldar. Finally that got too much, got out, not long after it all went plastic.
Now, I have 'A' plastic Dread. and Terminators. Yea went w/ the Dark Angel Deathwing layout.

I have No idea the last time I even unpacked them.. let alone played a game.
