If a copy of the original wood-grained boxed set of Dungeons and Dragons 1st edition with a bonus first edition copy of Chain-Mail with fantasy supplement were for sale, what would it fetch? Apparently only 1000 were ever printed.

It is whatever someone, at the time, will pay you for it.

Nerds have a lot of disposable cash.

A 3rd edition Chainmail Bill???

Last I saw those were about 100.

But then the last time I looked a 1et print woody was 'only' running about 5K.

I believe a very nice "woody" sold on eBay over the last six months for at least $10 USDk.

45thdiv21 Jul 2017 2:34 p.m. PST

Well, some folks don't mind paying for a woody.

Cyrus the Great21 Jul 2017 3:57 p.m. PST

I have one, but I like my "woody".

I have a wood box. Purchased it in Gary's basement with Dave in attendance also and I am so stupid I did not have either or both sign the books.

OOOooooh. I could be sitting on a modest investment then. Just have to find a wealthy buyer.
