Neat looking unit

Especially like the "look, there's the Prussians!" guy

I like 'em, I like 'em a lot. But then I have a soft spot for SYW Russians.

In fact, I just got out my Russians for a Zorndorf game.

What is the story with the yellow pompom. I've not seen pompoms on Russians before.

Information on pompons and some details of a uniform has appeared the last several years – it is a fruit of work of the Russian re-enactors and historians who are fond of this subject.

Indeed, the painting and the sculpting are superb…I like the little brush tufts on the tricorns. There is at least one plate that I have seen with it.

There is such book – "The European soldier for 300 years 1618-1918" artist Oleg Parkhayev the edition of 2002. In her, in the section "Seven Years' War" – it is possible to see samples of a uniform of the Russian troops, with pompons on hats. It is possible to download the book in PDF here link link

Excellent stuff. I know a lot of people like the "summer Russians" in just the vest. But I feel if you're doing russians, you need to have them in green coats. So I'm glad you have them in green coats.
