I've tried to glue down felt & other fabric to boards with white glues, but felt just soaks up massive amounts without sticking well, and cloth is even worse as it bleeds through. Dollar Tree had an 8-pack of glue sticks advertised, so, being in an experimental mood, I bought a pack. For the mounting surface, smear on a good thickish amount of glue stick (don't be cheap! ;-), and even better, run the glue stick over the bottom of the cloth/felt, too. Then stick the pieces together well. Let dry. No bleedthrough, no soppy pools of white glue, and the felt is difficult to pull off (so it should take a good deal of normal wear & tear.) Oh, and it's lots cheaper than PVA… ;-) |

Have you ever tried the 3m spray adhesive? I think it's called 777? |

I've got a box full of Guidance Town buildings (actually enough FOR a small town ;-), and the glue stick idea opens up things for making small pieces of modular terrain (e.g. yards & lawns) The spray might be nice, but for small areas, using a glue stick would be easier (and my track record with spray is not that good… ;-) |
