Looks like you've got a good couple weeks work ahead of you. I'd start with one of the boxed sets for each side. |

EC's right. Black prime, black wash, Damp-brush colors and base. Get two sides for a small game as fast as you can. Nothing sadder than seeing all those projects in the flea market which never made it to a table. Not that I don't take advantage, you understand. But still… |

Nice! A couple months ago, one of my best gaming buddies showed me his 1/285 Soviet modern vehicles and figures. I had some questions and revealed my enthusiasm. He arched an eyebrow and said, "Are you . . . modern curious?" I guess I allowed myself to be beguiled. I recently finished painting some 1/285 CinC US vehicles and need to finish some GHQ infantry. My buddy and I haven't played a modern micro-armor game yet, but even if it's just tank vs. tank, we're ready. Thanks for the inspiration! Jeff |

Jeff, Not a problem, happy to share my newfound scale! :-) Actually briefly got into 6mm several years ago, but switched over to 1/600 instead for 80's Cold War. However, since I decided to completely liquidate my 15mm (multi-era) and 1/600 Cold War collections, 6mm will now become my primary scale for WWII-Ultra Moderns. Only wish GHQ or CinC did WWI in this scale. As to beginning, will start with WWII LW Soviets (friend is doing Germans). One color there so easier to do. After that late 80's CW Soviets and US, then ultra-modern PLA and USMC/Army. Not to mention all the buildings and terrain that need to be finished as well. Should be busy for the foreseeable future. |

Looks like alot of fun. Enjoy! As for myself I've sniffed smell of a new-scale once or twice but it always seems to go rotten quicker than I'd expect. |

@CW – Baccus does pretty sweet WWI, Scale Creep carries other Baccus stuff but I don't see WWI there, but I'm guessing he could be persuaded or do a special order. |

Sorry, Boy Wundr, but I am no longer able to get Baccus product. I blew out what I had left at 75% off. But I see I need to delete the 6mm category (done!). Mark "Extra Crispy" Severin ScaleCreep.com |

Baccus unfortunately does not do any WWI armies I am interested in (except Germans). Want to do the Eastern Front, Balkans and Italian front (in that order). So would need not just Germans, but Austro-Hungarians, Russians, Serbs, Italians, Bulgarians, etc. |

Ah, sorry Mark, I probably saw your blow out notice too. @CW – yes, I guess Irregular would be your only source for now, though Baccus has released Turks, so there's hope for more fronts. |

Baccus intend to cover it all eventually…. |
