I used Photobucket to share pictures of WIPs and finished projects here on TMP and other fora. Now Photobucket changed the rules, and I cannot do that . What other ways are there to share pictures here on TMP? |

if you mean to 'directly upload' to TMP, you cant. As they've explained they are not set up to do that. Very sad but thats life.
You 'have' to use a '3rd party' Image storage site. i.e. Photobucket (that WAS free), Flicker or some of the others named here and then 'copy/paste' the image link to your TMP post. @MrHarold
Ive recently signed up for Imgur. I got an "email address not verified" message. However when I went to the "Verification Form" as instructed, it just went right back to what seems to be the Home page.

Fees (if any), Limits on No. of uploads per. day, week. etc? Personal thought. Based on a cpl of articles Ive read on the internet, Photobucket pulled a "Fast one $$" with NO warning. |

PhotoBucket is garbage in my book. They were always changing their site, often it was buggy, I eventually couldn't get my older browsers to work on it, and now this latest, sudden, surprise move to rip off patrons and hold your images hostage, since you can't link to them or use them usefully. I don't even know if you can (individually? Sheesh, the time) download your own images for re-use elsewhere. I set up an account today on VGY.ME, "simple image hosting" that is free, promises to be easy to us, and may not have any complicating issues for a while, at least -- I read up here how flickr and imgur and google all have their own sets of problems and creepiness. link Thanks for nothing, PB. |
