Went to Historicon last weekend, and took lots of pictures of a variety of games. It was my first gaming convention, and I wrote about my experience on my blog, Scrum in Miniature:

Not sure what happened. I replaced it, and the link seems to work now! Sorry!

Great report. For a first con, that is the one to go to. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for sharing that, I think that Frostgrave table was our very on TMPer Xintaos stuff.

It was, we exchanged the TMP secret handshake. That Frostgrave board looked awesome in person and the Conan game was a lot of fun. It was a privilege to play in two games with Joe.

Thanks, Jimmy! I felt the same way…

Thanks for the great report and ton of photos, those are some spectacular and inspiring tables of games.

I was in a similar boat several years ago after spending a good chunk of adulthood out of the hobby, then getting in for a few years, mainly on my own but eventually playing at a couple of guys' places regularly, and then finally deciding to brave a convention. One of the best decisions I ever made, it led to new friends, new projects (perhaps too many new projects), and more conventions.

Nice work, Joe! Great to get into that Tekumel game with you.
