What impressed me most was the Hound and redemption.
I'm a sucker for a good redemption story. grin
Somewhat along the same line was Arya NOT killing all those Lannister soldiers, especially after…. well, you know.

I will wager a dollar that the Walder Frey scene was filmed last season, just to squelch any "Saw David Bradley at the Belfast Airport!" Spoilers.

So. A solid very good season opener.
Bran is on the Other Side of the Wall now. The only reason it will NOT fall would be for D&D to laugh in the face of everyone who see "foreshadowing" behind every tree.
