A figure Calixto García Iñíguez or another Cuban General who could pass for him.

Open to scale

Check out Old Glory's Spanish American war line.

They do have Cubans. Look to the mounted Cubans for a suitable figure.

BTW – I mix in Spanish troops with my Cubans for more variety.

Also take a look at Tiger miniatures sold by Recreational Conflict. The figures are slightly larger than Old Glory and the horses are even worse.

I submitted OG horses and trimmed down the rifles to better match my OG collection.

For 28mm you may also want to check out the relatively new "1898 Miniatures" range, made in Spain, available here:

They just started releasing IMHO excellent Spanish and American troops a few months ago, and have done a couple of very impressive looking personality figures, and I wouldn't be surprised if they have plans to release such a figure.

Thanks

The 1898 figures are great (see U.S. troop release today). However, I don't believe that have released and Cuban troops yet.

If you're going 28mm it may well be worth the wait.

Hello! Thanks @VCarter for letting me know about this thread. Although DisasterWargamer already emailed us, the plan is to release Mambises as well including of course personalities so Garcia and Maceo will have their miniatures. What I can say is when… Best wishes

Hopefully the new 1898 figures will have lots of machetes.

Looking forward to it
