I have been making some buildings for a collector in the US which were mainly generic 'town fillers'. I'm now doing a couple of famous Gettysburg buildings that have been asked for and this is the first.

The tavern was used as a field hospital by the Confederates. It's based on the modern building as it hasn't changed too much but the front veranda is conjectural as no good period pictures seem to exist. The only one i have seen is from distance and no real detail can be seen. It is based on those on other taverns from the period.

I hope it is a reasonable representation of the building.

If anyone does know of a decent period picture of this tavern i'd love to be pointed in the right direction!

Cheers

Nice. Your blog mentions that you are releasing 5 ACW buildings. What are the other 4?

There are about 20 to pick from but i haven't decided which will be released first. I'll be doing that on Thursday.

It will be a selection from some of these-

Hi Mick,

Do you accept commissions? I have a few 28mm AWI buildings in mind. I am not on FB or Google +.
