We'll be running FT-L scenarios at Historicon. There will likely be a few pick up games as well. Check the notice board outside the WNGA room.

*sniff* Stuck here; same ol', whenever I have ships out, 'Oh, yeah, Full Thrust. Played the hell out of it in the day. Have to try it again…'

I lift my goblet high to fleets burning noiselessly in the ether!

How does FT-L compare to regular Full Thrust? I've played Full Thrust Cross Dimensions… how does it compare to that fan produced Ruleset?

Not familiar with Cross Dimension. FT-L is a stripped down version of the game. Cinematic movement only and the ships are very brittle (low hull points). It's a good system for conventions because it's off the shelf, written for beginners and after about the second turn the players have it down so it is easy to GM.

We can get six players finished in about an hour and a half.

FT-L does indeed sound ideal. Hope you have fun with it.

FT Cross Dimensions is basically an attempt to reorganize and clarify the main rulebook. So all the content is there, just reorganized in an improved layout for better comprehension. It's a big improvement over the commercial release. Check it out: PDF link (PDF)

And, I think even Hugh considers Project Continuum is an extension of that noble effort.

Not that I agree with ALL of it. ;->=

FT-Light is a German fan-produced product, which I think is the same thing, though a lot of folk on the GZG listserv HATE calling it 'Lite'. 'That's what you call obnoxious beer…'

Also available through the GZG store downloads, though I think a slightly older version.

The Historicon games went well. A good time was had by all. Thanks to those who stopped by and took some pics. Feel free to post them, I neglected to take any.
