We are renting a trailer to haul our very big Aspern-Essling board to Historicon. How do you secure a trailer when not attached to the vehicle?

Thanks,

Xin/Jeff

Locks for the doors (we have a large trailer) and a wheel lock to prevent theft of the trailer.

Do you rent the wheel lock from the trailer rental place?

Back the trailer doors up to a vehicle or light pole so they can't be opened even if unlocked.

Put the trailer on a jack and take the wheel off and put it in your trunk. They do that for electronic message signs to keep people from moving them.

Lock on the door, hitch lock on the hitch. Rent the hitch lock from the rental place or, if you plan to do this often, buy one they are not very expensive.

I use a hitch lock, and locks on the doors. You can only protect them so much……
