The Lone Star Historical Miniatures (LSHM) club held a "Road to Victory" campaign Bolt Action tournament at the Austin Dragon's Lair today.
The campaign is designed around a starting force (2LT and two squads + national specialty unit). I played my Russians and my free unit was an inexperienced squad – just like the rules allow.
As the games progress in the tournament you add additional units randomly. This makes for some interesting games. You cannot approach this as a typical tournament format, because there will be some unbalanced games. But our objective was to have fun and we exceeded that. I played two great games against worthy opponents – Tyler and Henry.
Our next major event will be the San Antonio Muster on 29 July at Dragon's Lair SA. The next Bolt Action event will be a Pacific Theater theme event held in August. If you live in Texas you need to join us here in LSHM!!
