Hi folks,

some of you may have already seen this on Facebook, in which case feel free to ignore it here! However, for those of you who don't do FB, I thought I'd share this with you all here.

Having seen my 20mm scale vineyards, a customer recently asked me if I could make him a 28mm scale Hop Field. Never one to refuse a terrain challenge, I set about building him one. Finished adding the ground cover this afternoon. It's just under 1 foot square (29cm), modelled with a central trackway and 5 rows of hop plants on either side of the track.

The Germans shown in the photos are 28mm (the scale that the customer wanted it built in) but I've also included a shot with some 20mm British Airborne just to show how it could still work in 20mm.

It's been a pleasure building this one. Tomorrow I start work on 4 Italy/Crete vineyards in 20mm! By the way, if anyone's interested in any of my stuff, you can find it on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/takecoverscenics) or on the website (http://www.takecoverscenics.co.uk).

Here are some piccies:

Final photo shows what the real thing looks like, for those of you who are not familiar with hop fields – and that included me until a few days ago! :)

Thanks for looking.

John.
