How does it differ from the 1st edition?

Not that I can see. I have just started looking at the 2nd edition and the most obvious thing that I've noticed so far is a switch to Regimental F and F style fire points system (with provision for different types of weapons). Would be interested to see if someone else can list the other changes.

Morale is split into two parts:
Elite/veteran/green defines how quickly a brigade becomes worn & spent. It also affects how it responds to fire
Eageerness affects how the brigade performs in comabat.
There's also much more nuance in the charge procedure; often a brigade will fail to close due to defensive fire.
